Frequently Asked Questions
Aesthetic dentistry exists thanks to the harmony of teeth, gums and lips as a whole. Smile design is a set of studies to ensure this harmony.
Thanks to developing technology and digitalization in dentistry, smile design can be done with much more detailed studies today.
- The first stage is examination and evaluation. During the dentist's examination, he first learns the patient's aesthetic concerns and wishes in this regard. Afterwards, he examines the position, color, health and gum health of the teeth. With these examinations, what will be done to fulfill the patient's wishes, eliminate his concerns, what path will be followed, and what are the limits in this regard are discussed.
- In the second stage, planning is made and patient records begin to be collected. These recordings are made with photo shoots and video shoots. Intraoral photographs and portrait photographs are taken. A video is shot by chatting with the patient, and these images are examined in detail to ensure the most natural form of aesthetics.
- By including intraoral scanning into records such as photographs and videos, the records obtained thanks to digital dentistry are examined in much more detail.
- Once the registrations are completed, the treatment phase begins. The priority is to ensure the health of teeth and gums. It should not be forgotten that a good aesthetic result is not possible with unhealthy teeth and gums.
- Teeth are shaped or prepared according to the patient's wishes and the treatment method deemed appropriate according to the planning made. A group of treatment methods such as whitening, aesthetic fillings, porcelain laminates, orthodontic treatment, implants and gingival aesthetics are used to achieve the best results.
