Dental Treatments with Sedation
Sedation is the name given to partially putting patients to sleep with various drugs or gases. While under sedation, patients can receive dental treatments that do not involve bleeding. The difference between general anesthesia and sedation is that during sedation, patients breathe on their own, while during general anesthesia, the patient's breathing is provided by assistive devices and there is a deeper state of sleep.
All treatments with sedation can be performed under general anesthesia. However, it is not possible to perform sedation and general anesthesia in dental clinics and offices in Turkey, except for large health institutions and hospitals.
