What is Cosmetic Dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry encompasses all treatments performed to improve the aesthetic and functional appearance of teeth. The treatments applied in cosmetic dentistry are shaped by the individual's age, oral and dental health, smile characteristics, and the patient's expectations. Therefore, the smile designs and treatments performed in cosmetic dentistry are personalized. Cosmetic dentistry not only changes a person's smile line and the appearance of their teeth, but also aims to improve the function of existing teeth. At Jimer Dental Clinics, we successfully provide our patients with long-lasting, functional, and aesthetic dental treatments that are identical to their natural teeth.
-
What Situations Make Cosmetic Dentistry a Distinguishing Feature?
One of the most noticeable elements in an individual's daily appearance is their smile, which complements their facial aesthetics. A smile is a significant factor affecting their social interactions, professional life, and self-confidence. Our patients often consult our clinic regarding discomfort while smiling and speaking, as well as other accompanying dental concerns. Through cosmetic dentistry, patients achieve not only healthy teeth but also an aesthetically pleasing smile that allows them to better express themselves.
Smile aesthetics is one of the primary goals of cosmetic dentistry. By creating an aesthetically pleasing set of teeth using personalized planning and modern techniques, dentists boost patients' self-confidence and have a positive impact on their psychological well-being. While dental visits were once largely limited to situations requiring pain, swelling, or restorations, today aesthetically focused and optional treatments have become more prominent. Procedures such as teeth whitening, composite restorations, crowns, and laminate veneers provide aesthetically pleasing smiles without the need for major interventions. Consequently, cosmetic dentistry not only improves dental health but also has a positive impact on social, psychological, and emotional well-being.

Who is Aesthetic Dentistry Suitable For?
Aesthetic dentistry is suitable for anyone who has both dental health problems and is dissatisfied with the appearance of their teeth, or who wants to improve their smile.
Aesthetic dentistry is generally recommended for the following cases:
- Those concerned about tooth discoloration and stains: Discoloration from coffee, tea, smoking, or food can occur over time. A natural and bright smile can be achieved with teeth whitening and veneers.
- Those experiencing irregular tooth alignment: Crooked, spaced, or misaligned teeth affect both aesthetics and function. A proper and symmetrical alignment can be achieved with laminate veneers or orthodontic treatments.
- Those whose tooth size or shape is not aesthetically pleasing: Kısa, kırık veya orantısız dişler, yüz estetiğini olumsuz etkiler. Kompozit restorasyonlar veya porselen kaplamalarla dişlerin boyutu ve formu yeniden şekillendirilebilir.
- Those experiencing aesthetic gum problems: Asymmetry, excessive exposure, or dark colors in the gums can compromise aesthetics. A more harmonious smile can be achieved through gum shaping pink cosmetic surgery, and laser treatments.
- Individuals dissatisfied with their smile: Smile design treatments can be applied to individuals who struggle with self-confidence when speaking and smiling in daily life. By designing the smile line and the color and shape of the teeth according to the individual's expectations, it becomes possible to achieve the smile they dream of. This also positively impacts the individual's psychological and social life.
- Individuals with functional and aesthetic dental problems: Cosmetic dentistry treatments not only improve the appearance but also support the function of the teeth. For example, chipped, cracked, and sensitive teeth affect both the appearance and function of the teeth. Furthermore, for aesthetic problems related to missing teeth, such as tooth loss, treatments such as implant planning and bridgework contribute to the function of the relevant area in the mouth and improve the aesthetic appearance.
In short, cosmetic dentistry is suitable for anyone who has healthy and natural dentition or needs restoration, has a missing tooth, or wants to improve their existing smile. Treatment is tailored to the patient's needs and expectations, resulting in satisfactory results both aesthetically and functionally. If you are experiencing the complaints mentioned above, you can contact our expert team at Jimer Dental Clinics at +90 533 738 14 52 and request detailed information and an appointment.

Main Treatments Used in Cosmetic Dentistry in Bursa
Cosmetic dentistry focuses on the health and function of teeth, as well as ensuring a beautiful appearance. Many cosmetic dentistry procedures are available to achieve a better appearance, tailored to the patient's expectations and anatomically appropriate standards. At Jimer Dental Clinics, we offer a variety of modern treatment methods in cosmetic dentistry, tailored to each patient's needs and expectations.
These are listed below:
-
Bursa Nilüfer Professional Dental Cleaning
The first step in achieving a healthy mouth and a beautiful appearance is generally removing any existing tartar and restoring a healthy appearance to the gum tissue. Healthy gum tissue should be matte and slightly rough (resembling an orange peel) when viewed closely.
If the gums bleed when biting or brushing, this may indicate a gum problem. Tartar removal can be approached in two ways: removing visible tartar on the gums and removing tartar inside the gum pockets between the teeth and gums. Tartar can form at specific times, depending on a person's saliva and brushing habits. Tartar is particularly common in the lower front and upper back areas. However, there are also common misconceptions about this topic, such as: "More tartar started forming after I had my teeth cleaned."
Tartar removal should be performed delicately using ultrasonic and sonic vibration devices (Piezo Cavitron). Following this, a device called Air Flow, which sprays a specially formulated powder and water mixture for cleaning, removes discoloration and stains other than tartar, and a partial polishing is performed.
Following this, it is crucial to remove any scratches and roughness that may have formed on the tooth surface. While the tooth surface is hard and smooth, deterioration over time can quickly cause discoloration and make it more susceptible to tartar retention if not properly polished. Therefore, effective polishing should be performed after the cleaning.
There is sometimes a common belief that tartar removal damages teeth. However, this is absolutely not true. Proper tartar removal is essential for your teeth to remain healthy for a long time.
-
Bursa Teeth Whitening (Dental Bleaching)
Dental Bleaching method, divided into two categories: in-office and at-home teeth whitening, generally allows for several shades of whitening.
In in-office whitening, a higher concentration of medication is applied to the tooth surface, and the whitening is completed in approximately 45 minutes. In-office whitening is a faster and more effective method than at-home bleaching. Depending on the type of bleach used, light-activated methods are sometimes used. In our clinic, we prefer light-activated methods, which can also activate the medication with a laser, or special light sources provided by whitening pharmaceutical companies can be used. We are more satisfied with the results we see with the light-activated method in our clinic.
At-home whitening, on the other hand, involves applying drops of medication to a clear, night-time tray, custom-made to the patient's teeth, inserting it into the mouth, and wearing it for a few hours, depending on the type of medication and the doctor's recommendation. This treatment lasts approximately one to two weeks. At-home whitening is generally recommended as a follow-up treatment after in-office whitening. You can have both procedures performed at our clinics in Nilüfer,Bursa.
How long does whitening last?
The longevity of whitening varies depending on the patient's hygiene habits, how frequently they consume colored foods like tea and coffee, and whether they smoke. On average, whitening results generally satisfy patients for at least one year.
-
Composite Bonding Applications (Aesthetic Fillings)
Bond application is one of the first steps in cosmetic dentistry. It is the process of correcting color, shape, and positional irregularities in teeth with aesthetic fillings. It is a very popular single-session procedure that covers gaps, repairs fractures, corrects tooth length discrepancies, and restores worn teeth.
Bond application is often preferred because it is a quicker and more cost-effective solution than ceramic applications.
Bond application is both simple and permanent. A well-performed procedure maintains the appearance, color, and shape of the patient's mouth for a long time. When making a decision, you can gain a detailed understanding by reviewing your dentist's previous cases.
Digitally Designed Bonding - Digital Aesthetic Fillings
At Jimer Dental Clinics, we utilize digital dentistry in all aesthetic treatments. This allows us to plan the restoration using 3D scans of the patient's mouth, and then try it on in the patient's mouth before the procedure.
This method allows us to accurately predict how the teeth will look in the mouth, especially in cases involving aesthetic concerns in the anterior region. After the patient sees and approves the procedure in person, the silicone template, prepared using the 3D model, is used to transfer the procedure to the patient's mouth, ensuring no surprises.
-
Bursa Pink Aesthetics - Gum Aesthetics
We want to see the teeth symmetrically and in harmony when smiling, and similarly, the gums should also display a symmetrical appearance consistent with this alignment. In cases where gum levels are misaligned, our clinic uses intraoral digital impressions and professional photographs to determine the necessary corrections. Designs are made on three-dimensional virtual models (DSD software), and the necessary adjustments are implemented accurately within the mouth. With these types of planning using digital dentistry, the dentist and patient can predict the desired outcome.
Routine surgical techniques and lasers are used to shape the gums. The dentist then discusses the planned procedure with the patient and then proceeds to the intraoral application. In cases where the gums are excessively visible when smiling, also known as a gummy smile, simply adjusting the gum level may not be sufficient. In such cases, our oral surgeon performs minor surgical interventions to prevent the upper lip from shifting upward and prevent excessive gum exposure when smiling, which could compromise the aesthetic appearance of the smile.
Gingivectomy
Gingivectomy is the surgical removal of excess gum tissue. It is one of the preferred methods for treating a gummy smile (excessive gum visibility during smiling). When the gums cover the teeth too much, the aesthetic appearance of the smile can be compromised.During this procedure, the excess gum tissue is precisely shaped using a laser. This laser minimizes bleeding and promotes faster and more comfortable healing. Alternatively, Botox can be used to manage a gummy smile in some patients. Your dentist will determine the appropriate method. Gingivectomy, which is usually performed under local anesthesia, is painless, and takes a short time, and can be completed in a single appointment.
Gingivoplasty
Gingivoplasty is a procedure that reshapes the gums for aesthetic purposes. While often similar to gingivectomy, the goal of gingivoplasty is not to completely remove the gums, but to refine their contours to create a more harmonious appearance. It is preferred when there is deformity, asymmetry, or wavy lines in the gums. With this method, the gums appear more balanced and symmetrical, and teeth appear longer than they actually are. Gingivoplasty can be performed with a laser, scalpel, or radiofrequency devices.
It differs from gingivectomy in that it involves superficial adjustments and aesthetic shaping rather than complete tissue removal. It is generally a painless procedure and is often completed in a single visit. Your dentist may perform this procedure in conjunction with a gingivectomy if deemed necessary for smile design and rosy aesthetics.
Gum Recession and Aesthetic Treatments
Gum recession exposes the tooth root, causing both aesthetic and functional problems. Gum grafting, laser treatments, and other pink cosmetic treatments can restore the natural appearance of the gums. This improves the aesthetic appearance of the smile and reduces the risk of tooth sensitivity and cavities.Bursa Pigmentation (Gum Discoloration) Treatments
Gum discoloration can occur due to smoking, coffee, tea, or certain medications. Laser-assisted gum depigmentation and gum peeling can restore the gums to a healthier, more natural pink color. This treatment offers a quick and effective solution, especially for patients with high aesthetic concerns.Pink Cosmetic Treatments Combined with Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment helps align the teeth, supporting the aesthetic appearance of the smile line and gums. When combined with pink cosmetic treatments, both the teeth and gums appear harmonious. This combination offers long-term health and aesthetic benefits.Pink-White Aesthetic Balance
The balance between teeth (white) and gums (pink) is crucial for smile aesthetics. The harmony of tooth length, gum line, and smile line creates a natural and attractive appearance. A pink-white aesthetic balance is achieved through the combined planning of aesthetic restoration and gum treatments. -
Orthodontic Treatment (Braces or Clear Alignment)
Orthodontic treatment is also an important part of aesthetic dentistry. Sometimes it is not possible to perfectly align unsymmetrically positioned teeth with porcelain veneers and laminates. While it is known that teeth and their deformities can be corrected with porcelain, zirconium veneers, laminates, or composite bonding, orthodontic treatment is recommended in cases of severe asymmetry between their positions within the mouth. With orthodontic treatment, even the position of the teeth within the mouth can be completely adjusted, making them suitable for laminate veneers, resulting in much more successful results. These minor adjustments take less time than traditional orthodontic treatment and are more cost-effective.
We perform these types of treatments with traditional braces or aligners. All these treatments are evaluated by both the dentist performing the restorations and our orthodontist to achieve an aesthetically pleasing appearance. These procedures are then planned digitally using digital impressions and presented to the patient via a simulated on-screen display of the final outcome. In our clinic, we use Invisalign brand aligners and the treatment protocol for clear aligners.
Orthodontics and Aesthetic Restoration Combination
Planning orthodontics and aesthetic restorations together not only improves appearance but also provides significant functional and health benefits. Correctly aligned teeth improve chewing function, support the health of the jaw joint, and facilitate dental hygiene. This helps maintain long-term oral and dental health. When combined with aesthetic restorations, the patient achieves a natural and harmonious smile while also creating a healthy oral structure. This approach can be considered "not just an aesthetic touch, but also a long-term health investment." -
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers can be categorized into two groups: metal-supported and metal-free. Currently, we do not perform metal-supported restorations in our clinic.
We achieve more aesthetic, more biocompatible, and longer-lasting results with metal-free restorations. Ultimately, since the goal is to have an aesthetic smile, the material and technique to be used must strengthen our hand in the treatment to be performed. At this point, we prefer Zirconium coatings and Glass Ceramic Coatings.
Let's consider some of the types of porcelain veneers:
-
Laminate (Leaf Porcelain) Veneers
The most aesthetic and minimally invasive form of porcelain veneers. They can be applied with minimal or no tooth abrasion. They are particularly preferred for correcting color, shape, and form irregularities in the front teeth. Laminate veneers are also available made of glass-ceramic material, and these veneers offer the highest level of aesthetics. They are the fundamental material underlying the procedures commonly known as the Hollywood Smile. When patients have high aesthetic expectations, our dentists recommend Glass-Ceramic Laminate veneers if they are suitable for their tooth structure. -
Composite Laminate (No-Prep Veneer)
Laminate veneers can be added as an economical and quick alternative to porcelain. They can be applied in a single visit and minimally abrade the tooth. They may not be suitable for every patient, and a dentist should evaluate the patient's oral cavity.

Zirconium Crowns in Bursa
In aesthetic dentistry, new-generation monolithic zirconium crowns have become an aesthetic alternative for the anterior region, thanks to their transparency and natural light transmission. The color spectrum is extensive and can be matched to the patient's natural tooth color. Furthermore, due to their high durability, they are preferred for the posterior region and for their enhanced aesthetics in the anterior region. They are safely used in many applications, including single-tooth crowns, implant-supported dentures, and bridges. In our clinic, we prefer products from Ivoclar VIVADENT and VITA brands for zirconium crowns. These products offer superior aesthetic properties similar to natural teeth and are biocompatible, ensuring excellent compatibility with the gum tissue.
The zirconium products we use in our clinic can be categorized into three groups:
- ZirCAD Prime:
These are high-durability, aesthetically pleasing, and natural-looking zirconium crowns. They offer both aesthetic and durability. They can be safely used on both anterior and posterior teeth. They are preferred for their long-lasting and minimal wear. - ZirCAD Prime Easthetic (Monolithic Crowns):
These are monolithic crowns made from a single piece of zirconium. They offer an aesthetic and natural tooth appearance. They are highly durable and resistant to chewing forces. Their color transitions and transparency make them ideal for front teeth. - Zirconium-Reinforced Ceramic Veneers:
These are crowns (veneers) with a ceramic coating applied to a zirconium substructure. They provide a natural tooth appearance, both aesthetically and functionally. They are especially suitable for patients with high aesthetic expectations for their front teeth.
Monolithic zirconium is further divided into subgroups, with more translucent and more color-transparent options available from different brands. The type of porcelain to be used should be chosen based on the patient's expectations and the dentist's planning.
In some cases, when preparing monolithic zirconia veneers, some abrasion is done on the front surface, allowing for freehand work. This method is called cut-back.
Zirconium veneers also vary:
- Porcelain veneers, where the zirconia base and superstructure are handcrafted.
- Monolithic zirconia porcelain veneers, where a complete zirconia block is machine-milled according to a digital design.
Advantages of Zirconium Veneers
Because they are metal-free, zirconium veneers don't create a gray reflection on the gums like traditional metal-backed porcelain veneers, providing a natural aesthetic appearance. Their biocompatible structure blends seamlessly with the gums and poses no risk of allergy. Their durability allows for long-lasting use, especially for bridges in the posterior region. Furthermore, thanks to digital systems integrated with CAD/CAM technology, veneers can be prepared more quickly and precisely based on patient-received digital impressions. Digital systems and high-quality veneer products reduce treatment time and minimize intraoral fit problems.
- ZirCAD Prime:
-
Glass-Ceramic Crowns
This type of porcelain veneer offers the highest aesthetic value in dentistry. It is suitable for digital dentistry and allows for handcrafting. Its high light transmittance allows for more natural results compared to other porcelain types.
Glass-ceramic is generally preferred when individual veneers are planned or for laminate applications. Its mechanical properties are quite adequate for a single tooth or laminate veneer, but glass-ceramic porcelain bridges, that is, connecting teeth together in cases where there are missing teeth, are not recommended. Glass-ceramic bridges are not as durable as zirconium bridges.
E.max is the most well-known name for this product; in fact, it is the general name for Ivoclar VIVADENT's product family. We use Ivoclar VIVADENT products in our clinic for smile aesthetic treatments.
The E.max family can be technically divided into four main groups:
- IPS E.max Press
Lithium disilicate glass-ceramic applied using a press method. It is frequently used for laminates, inlays, onlays, and single crowns (single tooth veneers). It provides the closest appearance to natural. - IPS E.max Cad
Lithium disilicate material is ready for processing in its non-crystallized form. The designed work is milled onto the neck block using CAD/CAM and then fired to its final finish. - IPS E.max ZirCAD
These are high-strength zirconium blocks prepared using the CAD/CAM milling method. Depending on the subtype, they can achieve stronger or more aesthetic results. PRIME and PRIME AESTHETIC are the types we use in our clinic. - IPS E.max Cream
This type is used for applying layers onto pressed or milled structures, maximizing aesthetics.
Advantages of Glass-Ceramic Veneers
Thanks to their superior aesthetic properties, glass-ceramic veneers mimic the natural light transmittance and color of teeth, providing an extremely natural appearance. These veneers are durable enough for single-tooth veneers and veneer applications, comfortably supporting chewing and speaking functions. Their compatibility with digital dentistry systems allows for precise and personalized designs thanks to CAD/CAM technology. Because they require less abrasion than other veneer types, they can be applied with minimal intervention, and veneer applications focus solely on the front surface of the tooth. Their long-lasting and stain-resistant structure allows for the preservation of aesthetic and functional integrity for years to come. Furthermore, their use in a variety of applications, including single-tooth veneers, veneers, inlays, and onlays, allows them to meet a variety of treatment needs, both aesthetically and functionally.

Smile Aesthetics Stages at Nilüfer Jimer Dental Clinics
-
Initial Examination and Analysis
The process of smile aesthetics treatments begins with a detailed oral examination and the acquisition of radiological images. During this stage, your dentist evaluates the overall health of the teeth with panoramic X-rays and determines any necessary preliminary treatments.
The patient's complaints and aesthetic expectations are carefully listened to. If there are any dental cavities, root canals, or gum problems, these treatments are implemented first. Whitening, laminates, veneers, implants, or orthodontic treatment can be initiated as needed. If the teeth are healthy, the treatment process proceeds directly to smile aesthetics planning.
In this stage, a personalized smile design is modeled using image recordings and digital measurements, using intraoral scanners and DSD (Digital Smile Design) software, taking into account the patient's facial proportions, teeth alignment, and smile line.
-
Bursa Digital Smile Design (DSD) and Planning
Digital Smile Design (DSD) offers a personalized and detailed plan for smile aesthetics. During this process,
- The tooth and jaw structure are analyzed in detail using intraoral scanners and CAD/CAM systems.
- The patient is visually presented with visual representations of the potential post-treatment results in a digital environment, clarifying their expectations.
- Based on the data obtained, a personalized treatment plan is developed, and the procedures to be performed are determined step by step.
- The models are transferred to the laboratory, where the digital design is produced according to the dentist's plan. Necessary changes are made to the digital model to achieve the most compatible restoration result.
Treatments planned with DSD provide greater aesthetic and functional success and instill confidence in the patient.
-
Mock-Up and Rehearsal
In smile aesthetic planning, the process of applying temporary materials to the designed smile is called a mock-up. The aesthetic appearance is tried on and evaluated with the patient. The fit within the mouth and the bite are checked. If necessary, retouches and adjustments are made to the plan.
-
Pink Aesthetics
In cases where white aesthetics alone are insufficient to achieve full aesthetics, laser-assisted gum shaping (gingivectomy, gingivoplasty) or pink aesthetics procedures may be preferred. In cases of asymmetrical gums, shortened teeth, or purple or dark spots on the gums, pink aesthetics treatments can be used to correct the appearance, combining both dental and gum aesthetics.
-
Result Analysis and Routine Checkups
At the end of treatment at our clinic, photographs and digital records are compared, and the results are analyzed by the dentist. Patients can see before-and-after images to clearly see the results of the treatment. The dentist will guide the patient on how to maintain oral hygiene and provide information on the necessary precautions for use. Regular checkups are important to maintain and ensure the longevity of the treatment results. Patients with a history of clenching their teeth may also require additional supportive treatments such as night guards and masseter Botox.

. The Benefits of Cosmetic Dentistry for Patients
Cosmetic dentistry is not limited to simply improving the appearance of teeth; it is also a comprehensive dental approach that positively impacts a person's self-confidence, social life, and overall oral health. Thanks to modern methods and digital systems used today, patients can achieve a smile that is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally healthy.
-
Personalized Smile Aesthetics and Increased Self-Confidence
Tooth color and shape, along with gum aesthetics (pink aesthetics), designed to suit the individual's facial features and expectations, allow for a symmetrical and flawless smile. Whiter, straighter, and more natural-looking teeth and gums allow patients to smile and speak more comfortably both in their daily lives and in their private moments. The new smile achieved after cosmetic dentistry boosts a person's self-confidence. They can express themselves more comfortably and confidently in social settings, at work, and in one-on-one interactions. A more aesthetically pleasing smile helps them feel younger, more energetic, and more dynamic. A person feels much better, especially during job interviews, public appearances, and social interactions.
-
Chewing and Dental Function
Aesthetic treatments are important not only for the appearance of teeth but also for improving chewing and dental function. Orthodontic treatments ensure proper bite and alignment, supporting jaw joint health and providing long-term comfort. Furthermore, sensitivity and decay that develop over time in broken or cracked teeth are treated and addressed. These treatments reduce sensitivity and protect healthy tooth tissue, contributing to dental health.
-
Improved Oral and Dental Health
Properly planned aesthetic restorations allow for easier cleaning of teeth. Monolithic zirconium or glass-ceramic crowns can be applied to individual teeth. Thanks to our in-house laboratory, we not only provide aesthetically pleasing restorations for teeth but also create designs that facilitate regular oral hygiene. Thanks to special durable materials and a perfect fit for the oral cavity, patients can easily maintain their oral hygiene and experience long-lasting results. This reduces the risk of cavities and gum disease. This provides a lasting advantage for our patients in terms of both aesthetics and health.
-
. High Success with Digital Planning
Thanks to the digital systems and smile design software (DSD) we use in our clinic, patients can predict the outcome they will achieve before starting treatment. Highly precise measurements taken with intraoral scanners, three-dimensional models, and digital simulations make the treatment process transparent and reliable from the very beginning. This method allows both the doctor and the patient to develop a collaborative plan. This allows the patient to be more informed and confident in the treatment process. Digital planning also improves the fit of restorations, increasing the success and longevity of the post-treatment results.

Things to Do After Cosmetic Dentistry – Night Guard and Botox
-
Using Night Guards
We recommend using Night Guards after cosmetic treatments, especially those involving glass-ceramic/zirconium veneers, laminates, and cosmetic bonding, to prevent tooth damage and preserve the results long-term. This is because many people are unaware that they clench their teeth while sleeping due to stress, and bruxism can still be present in patients undergoing smile design. Whether patients are aware of this can pose a risk to the longevity of restorations. Therefore, our dentists recommend night guards to extend the life of smile aesthetics and protect them from the damaging effects of external clenching. These aligners are transparent, custom-made, and manufactured in our own laboratory. These aligners are worn at night while sleeping, providing a comfortable cushion between the teeth against the force of clenching and shortening the post-treatment adaptation period. In people with a habit of clenching, they protect teeth by preventing cracking and breaking due to force and wear.
-
Masseter Botox (Botox for Clenching Teeth)
Botox for masseter muscles temporarily relaxes the chewing muscles in the jaw with a simple injection. This reduces the force exerted on the teeth and jaw joint, limits involuntary nocturnal contractions, and significantly prevents tooth wear. Another advantage of this treatment is that the muscles at the corner of the jaw are relaxed, resulting in a slimmer and more aesthetically pleasing facial contour. It also contributes to facial aesthetics, as well as smile aesthetics. The procedure is completed quickly, and when used in conjunction with a night guard, highly effective results are achieved. Therefore, for individuals with a habit of grinding their teeth, a dentist may recommend Botox for Clenching Teeth in conjunction with a night guard. The effects of Botox typically last approximately 4-6 months, but can vary from person to person; therefore, repeating the treatment at regular intervals is recommended.
-
Routine Oral Care and Hygiene
Regular dental cleanings and oral hygiene are essential to maintain and extend the lifespan of dental aesthetic procedures. It is also recommended that patients brush their teeth regularly, use dental floss and interdental brushes, and supplement cleaning with an oral irrigator if possible. It is beneficial to avoid caustic, acidic, or colored foods/beverages (tea, coffee, red wine) as much as possible. Avoiding hard foods, especially during bonding, veneers, or laminate applications, prolongs the life of the aesthetic procedures performed. Regular dental checkups (every 6 months) are important for monitoring the condition of the restorations and making touch-ups if necessary.
-
Digital Monitoring and Routine Checkups
Thanks to the advanced digital systems used in our clinic, the status of your aesthetic restorations can be effectively monitored over time. Before-after comparisons can be made between restorations using DSD (Digital Smile Design) software, 3D models, and high-resolution photographs. The status of aesthetic restorations can be monitored over time using digital measurements and photographs, and necessary interventions and revisions can be made. Digital monitoring helps determine and plan whether supportive treatments such as night guards or Botox need to be repeated. This ensures aesthetic results are maintained, and a personalized follow-up and monitoring process can be created.

It is a field of treatment that aims to improve the appearance of teeth. It addresses concerns about tooth color, shape, size, and gum appearance.
In cosmetic dentistry, cosmetic dental models vary depending on the individual's oral and dental structure. Generally, laminate veneers, zirconium, and glass-ceramic veneers are among the options available. Your dentist will guide you on how to design and model your smile during your consultation.
Professional teeth whitening can be performed in-office, in a dental clinic, or at home with special trays and gels prescribed by your dentist. The effects usually last for one year.
Veneers are thin porcelain veneers applied to the front surface of teeth. They provide an aesthetic solution for crooked, discolored, or broken teeth. The shape and color of these veneers can be customized.
Zirconium veneers are one of the most preferred treatment methods in cosmetic dentistry. They stand out for their natural appearance and high durability.
Thanks to their light transmittance, they provide the closest appearance to natural teeth and do not appear opaque or artificial.
They do not create gray reflections on the gums, thus providing a flawless aesthetic result, especially on front teeth. They are biocompatible and safe, have no risk of allergy, are compatible with the gums, and maintain their tissue-friendly properties over long periods of use.
They are highly durable and highly resistant to chewing forces. They can be safely used on both front and back teeth. With proper care, they maintain their aesthetic and functionality for years.
Bonding is the aesthetic correction of teeth using a composite material applied to the tooth surface or the spaces between teeth. It is usually completed in a single visit.
These are procedures aimed at aesthetically correcting the gum line and color. Gingivectomy and gingivoplasty are commonly used procedures. Additionally, for discolored gums, a pink gum color can be achieved through gum peeling and gum depigmentation.
Most procedures are performed with local anesthesia, and pain is minimal. Mild sensitivity is short-lived and temporary.
Yes. With orthodontic treatment, if there are crooked teeth or bite problems, these are first addressed, then aesthetic restorations are applied to achieve a natural and harmonious smile. Depending on the patient's condition, orthodontics and cosmetic dental treatments can be combined.
Prices vary depending on the treatment plan and the materials used. A personalized plan is developed after the examination. For detailed information about payment terms and convenience, and to schedule an initial consultation, please contact us at +90 533 738 14 52.
After cosmetic dentistry, patients should maintain regular brushing and flossing habits. Routine dental checkups every 6 months are recommended for long-lasting results.
After cosmetic dental procedures, patients may experience temporary pain and sensitivity during the tooth adaptation period. These effects are usually temporary, and the symptoms disappear over time.
They provide a superior aesthetic appearance. Thanks to their glass-ceramic structure, they have high light transmittance, making Emax veneers the closest match to natural teeth. They provide excellent aesthetic results, especially on front teeth. They can reflect the tooth's natural color, ensuring a seamless harmony with surrounding teeth. Because they are metal-free, they do not create gray reflections at the gum margin. This maintains their aesthetic appearance in the long term. Because they are compatible with the gum, they pose no risk of allergy and blend seamlessly with surrounding tissues. They are highly durable for single-tooth restorations and laminate applications in the front area. They are not as suitable for chewing forces as zirconium, so they are generally preferred in aesthetic areas.
Zirconium veneers stand out in both aesthetic and durability compared to porcelain veneers. Because they are metal-free, they do not create gray reflections on the gums, and their biocompatible structure makes them safer. They are also long-lasting and provide aesthetic appeal for front teeth and durability for back teeth.
With proper oral care and regular dental checkups, zirconium veneers can last 10-15 years or more. In some patients, this period can be much longer. Regular maintenance is the most important factor determining the lifespan of a veneer.
Zirconium veneers are stain-resistant and are much less affected by discoloring agents such as cigarettes, tea, and coffee than natural teeth. However, long-term and heavy smoking can affect gum color. Yellowing can be minimized with regular maintenance and cleaning.
Our patients report high satisfaction with zirconium veneer applications. This is because they provide a natural aesthetic appearance and are durable in daily use. Zirconium veneers are a reliable solution for smile aesthetics.
The longevity of smile makeovers depends on the treatment method chosen, the quality of the materials used, and the individual's oral hygiene. Laminate veneers, zirconium veneers, or E.max veneers are durable for many years. Regular maintenance and dental checkups can extend the longevity and durability of smile makeovers.
